How the Populy score works
Every number on this site comes from one thing: people tapping Like or Dislike. No editors, no weighting by who you are, no paid placement.
One vote, per person, per day
You can vote on each person once every 24 hours. No account and no email — votes are tied to your browser and a masked IP address, not to you (privacy policy). You can change your mind tomorrow, and the score will move again.
Reading comments is open to everyone. Posting one, replying, and voting a comment up or down all require that you have voted on that person today — so the discussion is between people who committed to a side.
The score runs from −100 to +100
A score of +100 would mean everyone voted Like; −100 that everyone voted Dislike. 0 is the starting line rather than a verdict — it is where everyone sits before their first vote, and also where a person lands if the Likes and Dislikes cancel out. The label tells the two apart: someone with no votes reads Not rated yet, not a position on the scale.
score = (likes + 2) / (likes + dislikes + 4) × 200 − 100
The +2 and +4 act as 2 invisible Likes and 2 invisible Dislikes everyone starts with. One real Like lands at +20, not +100 — it takes volume to move further. Statisticians call it a Bayesian average; in practice it makes the score hard to hijack.
Both the score and the rankings move the instant you vote. Nothing is smoothed, weighted or hand-adjusted, and no number here waits for a nightly job.
What the labels mean
Red is liked, blue is disliked, and the paler the shade, the closer to the middle.
“Divisive” is not the same as “average”
A score near zero can mean two completely different things: nobody has voted, or thousands of people are split down the middle. The second is far more interesting, so it gets its own violet label.
A person is Divisive when they have at least 50 votes and the score sits within ±12 — a 56 / 44 split or closer. Below 50 votes the label is withheld: at that volume a near-even split is as likely to be noise as a real disagreement.

Rank by tag
The same score, ranked inside the tag instead of against everyone — #6 of 214 among Streamers is a comparison you can act on. People with no votes yet show a dash rather than a place.
The 7-day line
One point per day. Today's point moves with the score; earlier days are fixed. It is where you see which way someone is heading, not just where they stand.
Trending
Ranked by how many people looked someone up in the last 24 hours — attention, not approval. A trending person can have any score at all. This is the one list on the site that is not live: it is rebuilt twice a day.
7D on a ranking
Places gained or lost on that ranking since a week ago. ▲ always means “moved up this list”, so on Most Disliked it means more disliked.
Questions people ask
Can I vote more than once?
Once per person per day. Voting again the next day adds a new vote rather than replacing the old one, so a score reflects sustained opinion rather than one moment. Duplicates are rejected at source; scripted or coordinated voting is invalidated and the networks blocked.
Is this a poll?
No. These are votes from whoever chose to visit, not a representative sample of any population, and they are not demographically weighted. Treat them as what the internet thinks, not what the public thinks.
