What we collect
- A masked IP address. IPv4 addresses lose the final octet and IPv6 addresses are cut to the first 48 bits before anything is stored. It limits voting to once per day and lets us block abusive networks; it cannot identify you on its own.
- What you post. Comments are public once approved, together with the vote you cast on that person. Do not put personal details in them.
- An email address, only if you type one into the contact form. We use it to reply, never for marketing, and delete it once the matter is closed.
Favourites, recently viewed pages and your cookie choice stay in your browser's local storage and never reach our servers. Voting and posting run a Cloudflare Turnstile bot check, which tells a person from a script and nothing more. We hold no names, accounts, passwords, payment details, or full IP addresses.
Analytics and advertising
We use Google Analytics 4 for aggregate traffic statistics. The site shows no ads today; if advertising (such as Google AdSense) is introduced, ad partners may set cookies to show and measure ads, and this page will change before that happens. Where consent is required we ask first, and you can change your answer later from the link in the footer. Like most sites, we do not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals; you can opt out of Google Analytics with the opt-out browser add-on.
Who else handles data
- Cloudflare — delivery, DDoS protection, and the bot check;
- Google — analytics;
- our hosting provider — runs the servers;
- Anthropic and OpenAI — comment text is checked by an AI model before publication;
- authorities — where disclosure is legally required.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Aggregate data — scores, rankings, trends — is published and may be licensed; it is not tied to any individual.
How long we keep things
Duplicate-vote records expire after 25 hours. Votes and comments are kept while the site runs — they are what the scores are made of. Contact and request messages, including any email address, are deleted once the matter is closed.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or object to the use of your personal data. Because we hold no account and only a masked IP, we usually cannot find "your" data on request.
Children
The site is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes and contact
We update this page when our practices change, and the date at the top changes with it. Privacy questions go through the contact form.
